Saturday afternoon
A new digital site opened today and while I did not take part in any of the scraps I followed the chat while I scrapped this photo of Judy. this is the address of the site...... it looks good

Judy is an old, wonderful friend. I have always felt very comfortable in her company and that is one of the best things about moving back to Canberra. She is on sick leave at the moment and so I am seeing a little bit more of her and we have even done some scrapping together.

Saturday Morning
Up early so I can get some scrapping done before everyone else gets up. Winter is starting to come, although we have had one of the warmest April on record. It is cold in the morning when I get up, it means dressing gown and slippers but you can still feel the cold breeze nipping around your legs.
I had a day off work yesterdy which I was very excited about, it meant that I got time to get my circle journal layout done. A circle journal is where you do a layout for each member of your group on their chosen topic, you do one a week and there is eight members in our group. Tina's topic was a teacher that inspired you, so it provoked lots of memories, it also lead to me finding out that our senior high school no longer exists, it has been renamed and re- organised so that it is no longer just a senior school. All the memorabilia is in the hands of one of the nuns in the convent, I hope that she is doing something with it.....maybe a web site

Sunday
Pen goes back to Sydney today to start her long journey back to Sri Lanka, it has been just so wonderful to have her home. She is so beautiful in every way, it is going to be difficult tomorrow when she is gone. We have all loved every minute of it.
I did a scrap this morning of Pen and Jess together for the SBB scraplift scrap.

Saturday
It has been a good day, up early to get some scrapping done before everyone else woke up. Then down to get coffees and pastries for everyone.
We went to see the new Australian movie 'Three Dollars', I was not very fussed but the rest loved it. Graham said that it was a real guy's movie and covered issues that he has faced in his life.
'Perlman is writing about all the things that go to shape our lives during their most malleable years. It's a story about good luck, bad luck and the meaning of coincidence.'

I got some scrapping done, I had to do the sign-in page for the circle journal group, i am not totally happy with it. The other layout that I did was better. I took part in the West Coast Scrap on SBB, they provided the inspiration and you had to interpret it how you liked.

Friday
Have just uploaded my new banner. I am know as sand_gal on digital scrapping sites. Hence the name of the blog.
We have had all our family home for a few days.....which was so very wonderful, as a result I have lots of photos to scrap, which should be lots of fun. Our three older children are 31, 30 and 28 so they have their own lives now and live in all different places, so it is rare to get them all together.

Wednesday
It is wonderful, all the family will be home tonight for our eldest daughter's birthday celebration..... she will be 30. Arhh to be so young again. It has been a great week our beautiful daughter Penny is home for R&R, she has been working in Sri Lanka for two years and the last four months have been really hard for her.

Sunday
Not sure how to do this, will need to spend time on learning it. Anyway welcome to my blog, I am obsessed with digital scrapping and use every spare minute I have doing something related to the
craft.
I just looked up 'obsession'
Compulsive preoccupation with a fixed idea or an unwanted feeling or emotion, often accompanied by symptoms of anxiety.
Maybe it is not healthy to be so taken by a craft. Any way it is fun.
