Saturday.
Had a busy day, cleaning and cooking. Things have got behind since I have been away. I had time to scrap this Jan, her theme is "Home is where you hang your heart". I like the way that it turned out. I will use as the front page of my current album.
Jessie's team won netball, she a nasty fall and took many layers of skin off. She went back on to play after she fell, she is very keen. This afternoon she went shopping with a friend from school and Graham for equipment to take on her D of E camp on the weekend of the 4th of June. She is so excited about it.

Late Sunday
I should be in bed but I want to write down some thoughts. This last week has not been an easy week. Last Monday my dad died. He was 86 years old and a product of the depression years. I don't think that there was much peace in his life, he was a driven man ..... he did not want his family to ever suffer the poverty that he went through as a child. So he worked every chance that he got. As a result he was tired a lot of the time and did not have a lot of time to spent with the family. Although as we got older it was a treat to go to work with him, always fun. Looking back my conclusion is that he was a good man, who gave his all to his family and his way to show how he loved was to give his labour. The other great value that he exhibited towards his children was to accept who we were and we were at, he was very tolerate towards his children and grandchildren. We will miss him but at least now he is with mum who he loved deeply.
Over the next few weeks I would like to do some layouts of him.

Sunday
Got up early to take part in the scraplift on SBB. I scrapped the beautiful photo of the two girls together in the garage, Jess was helping Pen look through her boxes for things that she wanted to take back to Sri Lanka. We all felt a bit strange that day as we knew that she would be leaving soon and we didn't want her to go.
We have received an email to say that she is safe and sound. That is always great to hear but we still miss her.
