Today ........Wednesday

The sick one on the couch.....she hates having her photo taken.
My little one is home sick to day with a bug or maybe it is just plain exhaustion, she never got any school holidays this term because of the move......I think that she is just plain worn out. She is lying on the couch reading a magazine. 'I miss Transact'.....was her comment when she went through all the TV channels and couldn't find anything to watch. Transact was the cable television that we had in Canberra. As a result of the huge list of jobs that I made for myself this morning very few of them got done.
The other thing that is worrying me today, is that I am suppose to put up my colour challenge on the site that I am on the CTM team for. I can't put it up as I made a kit as a freebie for people to use in the challenge. I have uploaded the kit to the site but I can't use it until I get a link. I have tried everything to get in contact with the person that should give me the link and it is not happening. So I will have to wait. Sorry if you were waiting to do the challenge.

Myself
We had to do a bio on ourselves for digiscrapdivas. It is a big week there this week, each member of the creative team made a part of a large freebie to give away, it is as an introduction to the team. The standard is high and the papers etc are beautiful.
Here is my autobiography layout.......

Monday Morning
I have the Monday morning blues. I think that today would have been a good day to go to work, I am having that sort of day where I can't get out of my own way.
I did this layout of Ses and Arthie, I am pleased with it, it is very simple and that is what i like. I did it for the inspiration challenge on digiscrapdivas. They have some really good challenges on the site but I seem to be snowed under doing other things that I can't get to them. Anyway I will post it and see what you think.

Sunday Morning
This is an exciting week for us......Adam, Suzy and the two babies are moving up to Brisbane. Suzy and girls arrive on Wednesday by plane and Adam on the Thursday. We are looking forward to having them here so much and I am hoping that they fall in love with this city as much as I am. I know that Suzy's heart is still down south but I think that she could grow to love it. They are going to be living in a very pretty place in the centre of the city and there is always something to do in this city. It is a very creative place.
I will try to put up some photos of the Roma Street parklands today, so that you can see their new home.

Meanwhile this is the paper pack that I designed to give away on
http://www.digiscrapdivas.com/. It is to help people take part in this week's color challenge.

Colour Challenge Papers

I am running the colour challenge on the http://www.digiscrapdivas.com.
It is an event that takes place every two weeks and everyone that takes part receives a paper pack, this is the one for the first challenge. I would like any CC that you can make on it.

Thank you for your very encouraging comments. Things are sometimes very dangerous in the hands of someone who knows a little but not a lot. I just seemed to wipe out all the entries in my bog. Clever!
Good they are back but I don't jnow how or what I did.

To scrap or not to scrap
I am a bit down today. I am spending far too much time on scrapping and what I produce does not seem to produce any reaction, I only ever get a few comments. I am beginning to wonder if my work is just no good, I asked Suzy (my daughter) and like any good daughter would say she says that it is good.
I would love some CC on my work. Someone should start a site that provides CC on people's layout so that they can improve.
Anyway this is the layout that has not produce any comment.

I would love a comment on it.

Jessie's Birthday
We had a lovely day on Saturday for Jessie's birthday. We had a family barbecue with Pattie and Paul and all of their family. It was lovely to have all the babies here and to see Liv playing with her cousins.
I find it hard to believe that Jess is fifteen, although I do like the way that she is growing up. She has high standards that she sets herself and she challenges herself all the time. She has learnt the valuable art of communication and is willing to talk most things over. This helps her to clarify her thinking and to sort things out.
She has shown remarkable courage in the last few weeks in once again starting a new school and having to put herself out there again. We are both very proud of who she is.

Saying goodbye.
Suzy and the two babies left this morning to begin their long journey back to the South Coast. It is an hour and a half flight and then a two hour drive. It was wonderful to have them here; Abby got to know us this time and started to greet us with a smile, which was just beautiful.
Liv is very independent and has a strong spirit. She is very clever and has excellent language skills. It is very easy to have an imaginary game with her and a long conversation that is logical and interesting.

We spend the time mostly while they were here looking at houses. Adam and Suzy are thinking of moving up to Brisbane which we think is just great to have them near us. There is not a lot to rent at the moment and the rentals seem very high for the quality. So Suzy has left without finding anything but I can keep looking for them.
