Help needed?

I need to come up with a challenge for the new designers crop and chat that is on next Saturday on Digichick. I was going to do a colour challenge but someone beat me to it. A few ideas I have is....
a layout using at least two elements from the new designers, I know that Sweet& Sassy has some lovely ones in her kits. But that means people having to buy kits just for the crop.
Another idea is a layout about your favourite colours using papers from the new designers......people can change colours of papers?
Do you have any ideas, please?

At the Park

Here is Olivia standing on the sun wanting to know how big was the earth. I enjoy my grandchildren so much, they make me laugh.

Monday

Had a great day today but tomorrow I will have to do some housework. Worked on my 'Olivia's Flowers' kit most of the day, cleaning it up, checking that everything was alright and making a preview. This one I love, I hope to do a layout with it tonight.

I also went with Suzy and the two girls down to Milton park. The girls had a great time, Abby is into exploring by herself now, no longer contented to sit in the stroller. We got some beautiful photos.

There is a new colour challenge going up at Digiscrapdivas tomorrow, it is a Halloween theme. This is the kit to help you with your layout but you don't have to use it. I know that you most likely seen it before, I have had it ready for a couple of weeks. Suzy has made an alphabet out of it; the alphabet is a gift for taking part in the sketch challenge.

Scrap-lift

There is a great scraplift challenge on Digi-Chick of Shabby Miss Jenn' work. I did one of Abby from the multi-cultural festival at Roma Street using my new kit.

My News

I have not been blogging lately, too busy designing. My news is that I have become a designer on the Digi Chick site. I am so very excited, as I get such a buzz out of designing, although I would be lost without my right-handed person, Suzy who gives critiques on each kit.

Here is my first kit; they have to be uploaded tonight......for sale next weekend. I would love any comments on it.

I just re-read the instructions I don't upload until next weekend. LOL. All the panic for nothing. Oh well!

Just a little fun......

I say and you think by Unconscious Mutterings.

Quirk: an oddity, someone would think sitting on the computer for hours on end.
Crystal: light, clarity, being able to think clearly and make a plan.
Pet Peeve: mess, clutter.
Breasts: all shapes and sizes.
Whispers: usually nasty, say it out aloud.
Complicated: life and relationships.
Promise me: you will love me forever.
Murder: love murder stories, the mystery.
Filament: the essense, the centre.

Another layout

During the school holidays Liv, Jessie and myself had a really lovely day at Kathy's house at The Gap. We went to feed the ducks, which there are plenty of, down at the local creek. The girls both loved this. From here we walked back to Kathy's house via her mum and sister's house. The old lady was happy to see us and there were two very friendly dogs there. This was when I found out that Liv is frighten of dogs. We had a very relaxed lunch back at Kathys, Liv and Alex (Kathy's grand-daughter)played very well together, It was great to watch them. Thanks Kath for a great day.

Thursday

Up early, I don't sleep that well when Graham is away. I was hoping for a call for work today but it didn't happen. I will have to go around to all the local schools and drop my resume in and see if I can pick up some work that way. I only want two/three days a week.

As a result of not working I have been spenting far too long on the computer. I should also look around for things to join so that I can get to know some people here in Brisbane.

I have made a new paper pack, it is to be a give-away at Digichick. Let me know what you think of it.

Colour Challenge

These are the new papers for the this week's Colour Challenge. They are very bright. I am going to try to get a layout done today of my sister using these colours.

Both of my sisters popped in yesterday and it was great to see them, they had come up to Brisbane to take the grandchildren for a ride on the river cat. Brisbane is a river city and this is one of the best ways to see it.I should have taken a photo of the grandchildren - William and Lilly. William is so very tall and Lilly is very beautiful.

Another one of cousins

Pop had a rule that Olivia had to hold his hand whenever they were in car parks. Olivia felt that holding her cousin's hand fitted the rule. LOL. Another little girl in the family that will keep Graham (pop) on his toes.

Another one of the Animal Park

I have spent so much time designing that I have not been doing much scrapping. It was pleasant last night to just scrap. This is another one of the animal park, aren’t the girls just beautiful, they are totally absorbed in watching the snakes. TFL

Revivsed Kit

I have changed the Halloween kit, happier with this one. I forgot that Halloween is not until the end of October,so this will have to wait for a later challenge. It is going to be really hot today, around 36 C, summer is coming really fast.

New Colour Challenge

We don't have Halloween in Australia but I still have very fond memories of it when we lived in America. I was nervous at first, unsure of the traditions and how safe it was; but one of my lovely neighbours filled me in how it operated and one of my daughters went with her children. This was Penny (my sweet tooth) she had the greatest time and came home with the greatest amount of candy. She was still digging into horde six months late. It was great seeing the kids in costume, Adam had this ghastly face mask that still gave a stab of terror months later. Ses was a clown and Penny a witch. Now if I could only find the photos.

This is the colour challenge kit that I have made for next week for DigiScrapDivas

My first task

The Element Team were given their first task on DigiChick. It was to make a mini kit, made up of four papers and two elements. I was so nervous creating it but I am pleased with the result. What do you think?

Opps, this time I remembered how to spell my name.
