Long time since posting

It has been a long time since I made an entry. It is my lunchtime at school and I am taking a break from cataloguing to blog. I have just started a five week contract as a teacher/librarian in a inter city Brisbane school. There are fourteen classes in the school and it is a fairly easy timetable, so I have plenty of time to catch up on library work. I think that I will re-build the school web site, as it is fairly awful.

I want to share a story with you. The washing machine at home recently stopped working. It would not spin and the drum seemed jammed. I called the repairman and he just about died of shock when he took the top off the machine. The packers when we moved house had in their wisdom decided to put crushed-up plastic at the top under the lid, I suppose to stop it from moving. We didn’t know and we used the machine as normal. Slowly over a period of time the plastic wrapped itself around the drum and eventually it became so tight, it stopped. Often I could smell burning in the house but could never work out where it came from; the repairman said that we were extremely lucky that it had not caught on fire. Which would have been a real worry as I often program the machine to start when I am not home.

I received my ‘Little Sweetie’ from Miss Mindy last night she is very cute, she is called Lil Sandgal

She is adorable - and she looks just like you!!! Mindy does such a great job.

That story about the washing machine still shocks me every time I hear it - have you contacted the removalist about compensating you for the repair man (at least)?

hehe very cute!!!

and My Brother learnt the hard way not to leave the washing machien on while out... was at my parents one day when he got a phone call from the police to tell him he might like to come home as he'd had a fire - lucky for him his neighbours saw it early and the fire engines where actually near by so no real damange was done - just a few things melted and a new coat of page needed through out the house!! It was a mess but he was lucky. Now you have to even un plug the {new} washing machine when you have finished useing it at his place ROFL
