A shock

Yesterday Jess and I went shopping up the hill at Paddington and as I was standing in front of one of the shops, I noticed an huge amount of black smoke coming from the direction of our street. I didn't really worry about it, as I known as having an overactive imagination.
About an hour later we headed home but could not get into our street because of the number of fire engines, police cars and ambulances. The house across the street from ours had been set on fire, it is totally destroyed. So very sad for the man that lived there, he lost everything. A lady that he had been sharing the house with has been charged with setting it on fire.

It was a crime scene for a while but that has now been taken down. It was a wooden house, most of the houses in our area are wooden, it is an older part of the city.

Wow how scary to have a house in your street burn down! Anyway thought I'd pop in and say hi since I have been lurking and reading your blog for a while :)

Must have made you nervous as you drove up the street, I know I would have been worried! What an exciting part of town to live in ... :)

OMG you're heart must of been going a million miles an hour as you pulled into your street.

How sad for the poor man - but at least he wasn't in the house at the time I guess...
