Catching Up

Sometimes I don't know where time goes to. I have two new kits up, one was inspired by my mum, she is my thoughts a lot later. One of her favourite colours was aqua, and as a child I can remember her wearing it a lot. I think that I am going to use it to make a mini book kit similiar to the one that Shabby Princess made for Mothers Day.

The other one started out as a summer kit but sometimes they go in a different direction. My daughter Ses was visiting and she said "Mum is doesn't look like summer, it is Autumn". She named it for me, it is called Autumn Ribbons....I just love the name. Canberra is one of the few places in a Australia that has a wonderful autumn and this year is a good one.

I would love to share with you two of the beautiful layouts from my new sand-gals

This one is from Angela using 'Gentle Dreams' It is such a lovely layout.

This one is from Yenny using 'May Flowers', I think that this one is my favourite kit so far but I love blue. Isn't her layout outstanding?

Once again it is scraplift of one of ALB52 beautifu layouts. I have to stop doing this and do my own. I need to get out of this habit. Papers are by Jen Wison and the rest by myself.

A layout

After my daughter and grand-daughter's visit at the weekend, I feel guilty about the lack of photos that I have in the album. I have tall ofthe photos on the hard drive but haven't got around to scrapping them. Ses turned thirty last year and it was a very special time as the whole family was together.

Once again the inspiration was Alb52 I just adore her work, papers and buttons were from Jen Wilson 'SohoSass' and the rest by myself.

I had to make the time stamp, folder labels, and cross-stitch. Here is two of them.

Catching up

We have been really busy this weekend, as Ses, Arthi and Riya came up early Thursday morning for a visit. It has been wonderful to have them here, Riya is growing up and it has taken to Saturday for her to get to know me and to come to me. We had a lovely day yesterday, went for walks and mainly stayed at home.....Riya discovered one of the delights of living in Brisbane in winter; you can still have water play. She watered the pot plants, the verandah, the cat and anything else that got in her range. LOL.

It has been so wonderful to have them here. The following is a photo of Riya playing on the slide at Suzy and Adam’s apartment.

The papers etc were from my new kit on SSD called 'May Flowers'. The layout is based on one from Two Peas by Jamie Warren and the photo was done by using Tuesday Photoshop Tip by Jessica Sprague on her blog.

Here is a freebie of things that I made when doing the layout....enjoy.

Saturday.

Happy national scrapbooking day, everyone. I'm going to head over to Cherry on Top later to take part in the crop that is going on. It should be fun. It was this time five years ago that I was introduced to scrapbooking, Suzy and I went to all day crop with Creative Memories. We had seen them out at Olympic Park at Homebush and they showed us albums etc, I did not realise then that it was going to be the beginning of a huge love affair. LOL.

I made a new kit this week, I wanted to take part in the scraplift of C.D. She is our guest designer this month at SSD, so I started to make the things that I needed to make the layout. The kit turned out to be very pretty, anyway I will let you judge for yourself.

Thank you to the talented ladies who applied for my design team. I will let you know early next week.
